There nothing better than something sweet in the afternoon. If your like me then you will love my spice cake because it taste delicious.It taste like a thanksgiving dessert. It’s the perfect little snack, it goes great with a warm coffee or latte. If the ingredients aren’t autumnal enough I found a pumpkin mold, I bought a few years ago and never got around to use it. The results are super cute. It made the perfect little pumpkins. I promise you will love this cake and it will warm your heart.


2 1/2 cups all- purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon gound cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon gound ginger
1/2 teaspoon gound cloves
1/4 teaspoon gound nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 cup vegetables oil
4 large egg
1 tablespoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk


2 cup powder sugar
4 tablespoons milk ( your choice of milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Bake for 30min

Preheat oven to 350f

In a mixing bowl whisk together flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and all the spices together.

Add oil and butter ( melted) and stir well. Add egg and vanilla extract and buttermilk and stir well.

Combine wet and dry ingredients together. Pour cake batter to the pumpkin mold ( don’t fill up all the way, I did that the it came out supper big. Only pour half way.) Bake for 30 mins. Take a toothpick or a butter knife, if it comes out clean your cake done. Allow cake to cool before drizzling the frosting.

For the frosting mix powder sugar, milk and vanilla extract together. Drizzle on cake and enjoy.
